Meet Some Real-Life Heroes – Companies Fearlessly Changing the Health Benefits Game

Companies enhancing patient access to care and lowering patient costs all while slashing their own costs? That’s what earns Health Plan Hero status.

Patient’s Rising, a 501c3 national nonprofit organization, values patient rights and believes they should come first. Their vision is an inclusive healthcare system where all patients have transparent, affordable access to the treatments they need.

So, it’s only fitting that on March 29, 2022, they will be recognizing companies that have grabbed the healthcare cost beast by the horns, optimizing access and affordability for their members, with the first annual Health Plan Heroes event.

This year’s nominees have proven their ability to prioritize patient access, outcomes, and affordability. They’re also able to demonstrate how their health plan has led to savings for their company.

And on the list are three incredible Simpara nominees:

  • Woodard Cleaning and Restoration

  • Schaefer Autobody

  • Shine Solar

We’re so proud of what we’ve helped these companies achieve thus far and that they’ll be recognized as Health Plan Heroes – a well-deserved title.

Organizations like Patients Rising and recognition programs like Health Plan Heroes not only help normalize high-performing, employer-owned plans but also position them as the standard companies should aspire to. They highlight the differentiators in the labor market, rewarding those brave enough to trade the status quo for something new and employee centric.

Sharing what other companies have done also makes it easier for others to join in, adopting similar reforms to their plans. That, in combination with positive PR from social media and local news outlets, is a recipe for real industry change.
